Back in April 2026, a harsh spring illness kept me home and in bed. During those long sleepless nights, vibrant splashes of color and bold black lines began demanding my attention in my dreams. It felt like a visual map created to guide me back to health.
And I wasn’t traveling alone; my sweet soul dog and permanent muse, Choco, who passed away in February 2026, was woven directly into those dreams. Just as he did during my past hospitalizations, Choco shared his healing energy, whispering that I was on a new journey and that all would be well.
Because I couldn’t make it to my studio or my standing easel, I had my lap easel brought straight to my bed. In between naps and through the quiet nights, I let these vibrant, fluid inks flow onto smaller canvases.
Each piece in my NEW JOURNEY collection is built on these layers of resilience, memory, and love. It’s living proof that even when we are physically limited, our spirits remain completely boundless. No matter how dark the night feels, there is always a different path to find our inner light.
