When I was younger, I loved making origami objects. I marveled that with different folding techniques, colorful pieces of flat Japanese paper could magically morph into fanciful 3-D flowers, animals, and nesting boxes. I would spend hours doing my origami. It was a sacred time of creation for me.
These SACRED ORIGAMI paintings recently came forth to me so strongly one quiet morning. I was doing some fun sketching with fine-line pens and swatching of different paint colors. Little miniature origami sketches kept coming to me one after the other! These sketches caught my eye and my heart and became my SACRED ORIGAMI paintings. I’m grateful to bring these childhood memories of joy and creation into different paintings now.
Each painting is signed and dated, and some include a golden wood easel. I protect my paintings with several layers of Isolation Coat and Archival Gloss Varnish. You can immediately enjoy your art in your home or office without the barrier of a glass frame, so the energy and love of the painting come through directly to you.
